Service for Tissot T Touch watch by Tissot Jan 05, 2009 Tissot Men's T-Touch Titanium Watch #T33.7.588.41
I purchased the watch with the expectation it would be durable for outdoor uses. Why else would one want the compass, barometer and altimeter. The temperature function is useless as noted in another review. The "performace" rubber strap to the watch is flimsy. The dial is not readable at night. The real disappointment is with the repair service. After 3 yrs of putting up with the watch I returned it for service which was to replace a push button and battery. The proposed charge was over $400 which included $91 to replace the rubber strap, Full Maintenance $190, Crystal $102, plus shipping. I paid $487 for the watch. As a note battery exchange and any part replacement or service will in involve an additional charge for Partial Maintenance Service and I could not find anyone who would replace the battery other than Tissot USA. For me this is not acceptable service and makes me feel like I was being used--not serviced. I would not the watch recommend to a friend for active outdoor uses.

Superb Buy Sep 01, 2008 I have always been a Casio owner as well as Swiss Army. I have been very happy with this two brands , after a very nast experience with several Swatches. These just kept breaking after a couple of weeks.
A few years ago a friend of mind got he touch and it really call my attention how sophisticated, strong and functional it was. Therefore decided to get one. I thought about buying the Touch for a couple of months. I started to research for the best option of watches under USD1000 out there that could proide a status brand , but at the same time functionality. Guess what all the different pathways always drove me to the same product: Tissot Touch. It is a fantastic product, I visited several stores across the US and abroad to check on the different models, as well as online stores. Amazon was the best place to get it. The product was delivered on a great package. The watch operative. It has been working fine. It is a fantastic watch and the functions work great. Barometric pressute, altimeter, temperature and compass work great. The alarm system is sharp as well.
I highly recomend getting a Tissot, it is a brand you can trust, it wears great on your wrist and at the same time is very, very functional.

Very poor customer service by Amazon for this item Jan 23, 2008 I would give the watch itself a higher rating, but after four contacts with Amazon customer service, I still haven't received the instruction manual and my husband is not able to fully appreciate his gift since it's quite technical to learn without any instructions. We found some basic instructions on the Tissot website (no thanks to Amazon), and were sent a second copy of the Tissot catalog, but still no instruction manual. I would recommend that, although the price is great from Amazon, folks look elsewhere for this watch so that they can actually use it as more than just a time keeper.

TISSOT MENS T TOUCH Jan 12, 2008 I fully recommand you this product. This is a very high quality watch and the package included was really appreciated !
This was a Christmas Gift, and it has been wrapped careful for a low price, thanks for that.
I am most of my time in Europe because of my job, and I was happy to receive this gift within the TISSOT ORIGINAL Package, wonderful red box of the BRAND.
You won't regret your purchase, go ahead, the price is already a gift !

dressier outdoor watch Nov 30, 2007 The watch provides a dressier appearance than Casio or Suunto outdoor models with temp. altimeter, barometer and compass functions. A dial illuminator would definitely be nice.
Here are two important points:
1. No watch of this type can give ambient air temperature without removal from the wrist and allowing enough time for equilibration.
2. It is inherent in all pressure altimeters that once the correct altitude is set, this setting will be accurate for only a few hours. Since altimeters work by sensing changes in atmospheric pressure as you change elevation, normal pressure changes caused by high and low pressure weather systems will register as altitude changes also, so the altimeter must be constantly calibrated (every 3 or 4 hours) to compensate for this.
